I am often approached individuals who want to know how they can attend one of my Presentation Skills training courses, if I am not running one at their organisation. So I recently launched public-access courses of PRESENTING WITH PASSION.
The greatest demand has been from those with a morbid fear of presenting in public, who are now being held back in life or work by an almost phobic aversion to public speaking. For them, I have created -
PRESENTING WITH PASSION – Fear of Flying
Over the years I’ve grown to realise that most training courses in this field give lots of details and information (you know the kind of thing – eye contact, body language, how to structure a presentation, etc.) but leave out the most significant factor – that speaking in public is downright scary, and all that learnt information goes out of the window when 100 pairs of eyes are staring at you and your mouth goes dry!
As someone who was once the world’s most terrified skydiving student, and who now has 1500 jumps in his log book, I have learnt a huge amount about anxiety and how it affects performance, which I can use to great effect.
For those with a dread of speaking in public – if you suffer from sweaty palms, palpitations, night dreads, or a horror of speaking to any audience, this is the day for you. What you are feeling is neither unusual nor uncommon. By the end of the day, you will amaze yourself with how far you have moved towards being able to stand up and speak with ease and confidence. Max group size – 10. Click here for more details
The first course ran with great success in Birmingham City centre of August 9th 2011. More courses will follow in other cities. If you would like me to organise one near you, get in touch and let me know.
